Welcoming Home A New Puppy

Most, if not all of us; have a favorite dog breed that we dream of having in the future. I am personally biased towards Labrador Retrievers, as a pet parent myself. There are a lot of determining factors that go into what dog breed is the best fit when bringing a dog home as well as the preparation to welcome them into the family. It is a big decision that shouldn’t be taken lightly and studying the breed is important to ensure that they are the best fit for you and your family. We recently had a new addition to the BARF World® pack.

Dude the Goldendoodle

We recently welcomed a new brand ambassador, Dude. There was an instant connection to his pet parent, as well as his brother Sonic. Sometimes it may take time for your new pet to adjust to their forever family and home, which is why training and patience is key. Not only is it important to consider other pets in the household, but also other elements such as how they are with kids, the environment in the home, and how their personality can adapt.

Some dogs are more reserved and shy, whereas others enjoy spending time with other people and pets. While getting a new dog can be a very exciting time, there is also a lot of preparation that takes place as well. It can take months of training. This is especially true with a puppy which requires potty and crate training. So, while we all have a favorite dog breed that we have always dreamed of, it isn’t always as simple as choosing the cutest pup in the pack! There is a lot of time and effort that goes into finding a furever dog that will be part of the family for many years to come and is the right fit.

All Life Stages

Most importantly choosing the right pet food for your pet for proper growth, development and nourishment is one of the biggest decisions you will make for the well being of your pup. A raw meat diet will help improve the quality of life and longevity. You may see that many diets claim that their formula is specifically formulated for puppy or senior dogs. This is oftentimes a marketing tactic to get consumers to buy a specific diet. In reality, feeding a raw meat diet such as Barf World is intended for all life stages.

If you, or anyone you know is getting a new dog, we would love to hear from you! Each and every dog is special, and they will always hold a place in our hearts. It is not always easy but is absolutely worth having a furry companion that can fill your home with love and joy.
