I become more aware every day, during my travels,
at seminars and also while dealing with countless e-mails,
faxes, letters and phone calls from the now worldwide family
of BARFers, that the BARF concept is growing rapidly. To be
witnessing the widespread acceptance and growth of evolutionary
nutrition is for me, the reward of a process of striving,
spanning a period of over twenty years. However, I now feel
that if we are to continue to make a difference, we need to
take BARF mainstream. This cannot be achieved without unity,
leadership and direction. It is important that we develop
a common vision, a common direction, a common voice, scientific
backing for what we say and that we have spokespersons that
are credible. The time has come for us to use our collective
strength to build a better world, not only for our pets, but
also for all those pets whose owners (and their vets) have
no idea that there is an enormous problem confronting the
health of our pets – and a simple SOLUTION!
 For
all these reasons I have decided to form the Dr. Billinghurst’s
Worldwide BARF Association. The basic aim of this association
will be to restore health to the pets of our world through
evolutionary nutrition. Part of that will involve providing
a continuing education program to all our members via books,
tapes, seminars and news letters. BASIC RESEARCH involving
BARF feeding vs commercially processed food needs to be undertaken.
Valid research that will stand the scrutiny of peer reviewed
journals. The membership fee to join the association will
provide the much needed funding to support this undertaking.
This cannot be achieved without your help and so I encourage
you to become members in order to fulfill the future of this
vision.
I am asking each and every one of you to both
register your support, and also to provide any further input
you may have regarding what you think could or should be done
by this association to further the ideals of BARF, and also
to make suggestions as to the direction you feel we should
be heading with respect to research projects or anything else
you consider relevant or important. If we can unite all BARFer’s
together under this single banner, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

one of you, with your ideas, assistance and participation
in this most momentous venture.
