Are You Doing What Is Best for Your Pet?

When talking to pet parents, their number one concern is their pet’s nutrition.  Some devoted pet parents want their pet to eat as healthy, or even healthier than they do themselves.  But with so many different pet food brands on the market telling us that their dog food is the most nutritious, healthiest and wholesome food out there, how do we know what we should be feeding our furry friend?

Are You Doing What Is Best for Your Pet?

When talking to pet parents, their number one concern is their pet’s nutrition.  Some devoted pet parents want their pet to eat as healthy, or even healthier than they do themselves.  But with so many different pet food brands on the market telling us that their dog food is the most nutritious, healthiest and wholesome food out there, how do we know what we should be feeding our furry friend?

In the words of Sir Frances Bacon, “Knowledge is power.”   As you research, study and read articles such as this one, you are gaining knowledge in proper pet nutrition so you can confidently make the right food choice for your pet.

Sadly, in the past, I have been one of those pet parents who have fallen prey to the pet food industry’s marketing gimmicks.  I thought I needed to purchase pet food according to my dog's specific age, size, and/or breed.  However, after taking the time to read and research the ingredients in these brands, I found that they were very much all the same.   It’s great for marketing, but does nothing for Fido.

That is when I found the BARF® World diet. Did you know that feeding raw is great for all your pet’s life stages?  You can start your weaned 10 -12 week old pup on a raw diet and continue with that diet into adulthood and through senior years?  It’s so simple! But most of all, it’s the absolute best food to feed your beloved companion.

Once making the switch to a raw diet, here are just some of the benefits you can expect to see:

  • Healthy Teeth & Breath - Your pet will have much-improved breath, minimal tartar buildup, and beautifully clean and healthy teeth; all without having to visit the pet dentist or brushing the teeth
  • Healthy Skin & Coat - This can be one of the first changes you will notice when you start feeding the BARF® Diet.
  • Optimum Immune System - Because the BARF Diet® contains a good balance of essential fatty acids and other immune normalizing and strengthening nutrients, it reduces inflammatory conditions and waves good-bye to infections.
  • Decreased Degenerative Disease - Pet owners that switch their older pets to the a healthy raw diet usually find that whatever degenerative disease their pet has contracted becomes less of a problem
  • Reduced Stool Volume & Odor – Reduced stool volume and odor is a sign of an improved and healthy digestion cycle
  • Healthy, Lean Body Mass - By feeding raw, your pet will lose unwanted fat and gain that much desired increase in muscle mass.
  • Fewer visits to the Vet - Less visits to your veterinarian as your dog lives a healthier, cleaner life with fewer allergies, and reduced risk of developing an illness or disease.

What better time than this upcoming New Year to make the change to better nutrition for your pet. Now you have the pet-parent power to make the right food choice for your pooch.

Wishing you all a safe, happy and healthy New Year!
