Puppies are also going to be the most energetic and have a much faster metabolism for the first year of their life, and then this will begin to taper off. Don’t be alarmed if you notice your fur baby is eating more as a puppy. This is completely normal, and will adjust as they get older.  The effects of kibble will begin to show once they hit the ages of 4-5 years old. Starting them off young will help with the transition so their body doesn't have to go through a detox process later in life.
