You may have recently been feeling like BARF® World has changed or is doing something wrong. Allow me to put those feelings to rest and assure you that is just the opposite. Some of our customers have expressed their frustration and disappointment with their recent order deliveries. Please know that we are earnestly doing our best to make things right. We stand behind our high quality customer service and superior products.
Here are a few concerns that our loyal customers have been experiencing. Trust me, you are not alone, and we share your frustrations.
Our team has been working diligently with our manufacturer to ensure that we can maintain a complete stock of inventory so your pet’s can stay on their healthy diet without skipping a beat. We know that you count on us to keep your pet happy and healthy, so we are doing our best to overstock our shelves. Unfortunately, due to the meat shortages and recently added customs regulations, importing our Lamb has been difficult but we are making some changes and are hopeful that we can overcome some of these obstacles. The good news is, we have just received fresh inventory and we are ready to fulfill your Lamb and Freeze-Dried orders!
Some of you may have noticed a delay in your deliveries. We have been encountering some shipping and packing delays because of CO2 (dry ice) shortages on the East and West Coast. We are doing our best to pack your order as soon as dry ice becomes available. There have also been several delays and damages of coolers during transit. We are working closely with our fulfillment center and Fedex to resolve these issues. Due to the increased demand of E-commerce shopping and labor shortages, it is difficult to maintain the amount of volume for sorting and delivery. BARF World is not the only company experiencing these issues, as we know that many other businesses are encountering these same delays.
Here is what you can do to help:
- We sincerely love our customers and many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help. Yes, we definitely can use your help.
- Please be patient with us and rest assured that our team is doing their very best to rectify these issues and get your pet’s food delivered as quickly as possible.
- We encourage you to stock-up on our Freeze-Dried products and Snacks in the event that your order arrives late or damaged.
- If your order does arrive damaged and/or thawed, take pictures and email them to us. These pictures are very helpful when filing claims and advocating replacement orders for our loyal customers.

Monica is a mother of 2 kids and a rescue shih tzu named Berkeley and a rescue named Cali. Though her parents never allowed pets growing up, she has always been an animal lover and is thrilled to be able to provide a loving home for a pet need. Besides working full-time at BARF World®, she enjoys cooking and trying new recipes along with spending time with her family and her dogs, Berkeley and Cali.
